An opportunity for a Sales Manager has become available with an organic fertilizer / composting company based in Gauteng.
The main responsibilities of the role will encompass relationship management and the marketing and sales of the company’s products. Reporting to the Shareholders / Director the job will also include aspects of logistics, contract co-ordination and internal sales.
Duties will include:
Negotiating terms of contracts for new and existing clients & service providers,
Forecasting and budgeting,
Increasing sales volume and developing increased market share for company products by identifying opportunities and executing the commercial strategy for South African customers;
Contributing to sales planning and local market strategy for own area of responsibility,
Meeting sales targets by developing current and new client relationships, and strengthening existing relationships.
Other tasks such as inventory control, logistical functions, management of credit limits, pricing and profits, office administration.
A proven background in the sales of agricultural or other life-science related products;
Strong sales and marketing aptitude, preferably backed by a qualification (e.g. marketing, business, sales);
Exceptional people and negotiation skills;
Good financial literacy/ business acumen (finance, pricing and credit knowledge);
English / Afrikaans;
Computer literacy with good administration skills.
Salary is negotiable depending on experience. Package will include a basic, commission, vehicle etc.
